“Šalto plikymo” (ang. COLD BREW) arbata – tai ne tas pats kaip įprastu būdu plikyta arbata, atšaldyta ledukais. Ji rinse with cold water and longer stored in the refrigerator (about 6 hours). It is best if it is prepared in the evening so that we can enjoy a refreshing drink in the morning.
At a lower temperature, less caffeine and catechins are released, as a result of which the tea will have less bitterness and more sweet umami flavor.
Ours thermo drinkers suitable not only for preparing hot tea, but also for cold brew tea. It keeps the drink cold for up to 6-8 hours. In the morning, it is enough to simply turn the ring to separate the tea herbs from the drink. No extra work, no straining.
If you don't have a special cold brew bottle, a pitcher will do, but the drink will need to be strained. You can prepare a larger quantity, refrigerate and consume best within 24 hours.
What will we need?
- 10 g of green tea + 1 liter of water is fine Sencha (the taste will be much milder than when prepared hot, the tea will have more sweetness. Genmaicha (mild taste of fried rice), Hojicha (pleasant taste of roasted chestnuts, we recommend using about 6 g of tea herbs)
- if you use a thermo drinker: 4 g of tea grass + 300 ml of water
Preparation:
- Place 5 g of tea leaves in the inner basket or jug of the thermos and pour 300 ml of room temperature water.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. or overnight.
- The drink is best consumed within 24 hours.
